Lorette Graveline McNamara Rizer of Sleepy Hollow Mobile Home
Park in Zephyrhills, Florida died on August 31, 2009. She was the
daughter of the late Wilfrid J Graveline and Dora McDermott and
the stepdaughter of the late Adelord Morin. Her first husband
Edward McNamara, died in 1984 after 44 years of marriage. Her
second husband, Willard Rizer, died in 2001. She was predeceased
by brothers Eugene, Armand and Oscar Graveline, step sisters
Belle Bruccoli and Blanche Croteau Remick and half sisters Irene
Gill and Dora Ginipro. She leaves nephews Eugene and Stanley
Graveline of Cape Cod, MA, Neale Graveline of Stratford, CT,
David Graveline of Worcester, MA, Robert Croteau of Millbury, MA
and Frank Ginipro of Huntington, CA. Also nieces Anne Smardon
of Syracuse, NY, Mary Brodeur of Millbury ,Helen Pedone of
Shrewsbury, MA, Phyllis Asseline and Linda Conroy of Worcester,
and Kim Thurston of Aliso Viejo, CA. She was predeceased by
nieces Dorothy Couture and Barbara Hampersoonian, and
nephews Andrew Ginipro and Paul Graveline. Also surviving are
Willard Rizer’s son Robert of Winter Haven, Florida and daughter
Jennifer Pierce of Brevard, NC. Lorette was born on October 7,
1917 in Central Falls, Rhode Island. She was raised and educated
in Rhode Island, Canada and Massachusetts and lived in
Pawtucket, Rhode Island most of her adult life. She was a
photographic processor for many years, an Emblem Club president
of the ELKs and deeply committed to the Urbain Baudreau
Graveline Genealogical Society. She also served as a chaperone for
the Assumption College Glee club and traveled extensively in
support of all her activities. Following her first husbands death,
she moved to Florida and eventually settled in the Sleepy Hollow
Park in Zephyrhills. She was active in the Park management as
ownership reverted to park tenants. She was a member of St
Annes Catholic Church in Ridge Manor and St Josephs in
Zephyrhills. A funeral will be held on Tuesday Sept. 15, 2009 at
9am from the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield
Ave. Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St.
Maria Goretti Church Power Rd. Pawtucket. Visiting Hours will be
on Monday Sept. 14th 4-7 pm. Burial will follow in St. Francis
Cem. Pawtucket.
