Joao C. Vieira, 79, of Providence, died May 1, 2010. He was the

 

husband of Rosa (Gibau) Vieira. Mr. Vieira was born in Brava,

 

Cape Verde Island a son of the late Casimiro and Maria (Alves)

 

Vieira. He came to this country 21 years ago. Besides his wife he

 

is survived by 9 children Edigar G. Vieira, Armando G. Vieira,

 

Estela Silva, Joao G. Vieira, David G. Vieira, Constantina G. Vieira,

 

Pedro G. Vieira, Paulo G. Vieira and Ilda G. Vieira. 2 sisters Julia

 

Vieira and Maria Silva. 22 grandchildren and 11 great-

 

grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the

 

Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket

 

with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Edwards Church

 

Weeden St. Pawtucket. Calling Hours Monday 4-8pm. Burial will

 

be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
