Dorothy M. (Poynton) Nelson, 82, of Pawtucket and Center

 

Ossipee, NH passed away April 23, 2010 surrounded by her loving

 

family. She was the wife of the late Allen W. Nelson Jr. Mrs.

 

Nelson was born in Providence, RI a daughter of the late Edward

 

O. and Annie M. (Brown) Poynton. She had lived all of her life in

 

Pawtucket. She was employed by Best Little Hair House of

 

Providence as a receptionist for 25 years. She was a member and

 

Worthy Matron and Grand Representative of Limerock Chapter,

 

No. 26 Order of The Eastern Star and Queen Esther Chapter, No.2

 

O.E.S. She is survived by 1 son Allen W. Nelson III of Slatersville

 

and his wife Val. 1 daughter Beverly J. Alessandro of Pawtucket

 

and her husband Michael. 4 grandchildren Jennifer and Jonathan

 

Nelson and Jenna and Matthew Alessandro. 3 great-grandchildren.

 

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10am at the Merrick R.

 

Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket. Calling

 

hours Monday 4-7pm. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park

 

Johnston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Home &

 

Hospice Care of RI 1085 North Main St. Providence, RI
