Avelino V. "VIVI" Gomes, 55, of Chandler Ave. died Monday at

 

Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Center. He was the husband of

 

Delmira G. (Fontes) DaSilva. He was born in Brava, Cape Verde

 

Island, a son of Virgilio Gomes of New Bedford, MA and the late

 

Emerencia (DaRosa) Gomes. He came to this country 31 years

 

ago settling in Pawtucket. He was employed by American

 

Insulated Wire Co. Besides his wife and father he is survived by 1

 

son Joseph Steven Gomes & 1 daughter Anne Marie Gomes both

 

of Pawt. 11 brothers & sisters Julio DaRosa, Manuel Fontes, Edger

 

Fontes, Elcidina DeAndrade, Idelmira Fontes, Maria Jose Monteiro,

 

Joseph Gomes, Katherine Soares, Rene Gucci, Angelica Gomes &

 

Emmanuel Gomes. 2 grandchildren Exsence M. Gomes Rodriguez

 

& Gyanna Janasha Gomes. 37 Nieces & Nephews. A funeral will be

 

held Wednesday at 8:30am from the Merrick R. Williams Funeral

 

Home 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian

 

Burial at 9:30am in Church of The Holy Trinity Dexter St. Central

 

Falls. Calling hours Tuesday 5-9 pm. Burial will be in Swan Point
